On this note, a bid you adieu, Morocco 👋🏼🌞

It was 110 degrees and there was a collective river of sweat dripping down all of our bodies 😭 We just wanted to get home, but had to stop when this rack of art prints caught my eye. Out of a tiny room, this little old man was painting these graphic pieces so full of personality; thick black lines contrasting bright Moroccan colors...I know it sounds corny, but I started to tear up; I connected with his work so much!! There was such beauty in finding this man halfway across the world, in some overheated Moroccan alley, who saw the world in a similar way that I do.

In tune with the tombs 🌞

A moment of appreciation for our beautiful ‘riad’ (a traditional Moroccan style house that has a courtyard in the middle)...the vibe is 💯 and the staff is so so sweet. We were served breakfast, drinks, dinner...we’ve felt like Moroccan QUEENS.

I rode a camel named Shakira 🐫 Believe me when I say that neither of our hips were lying.

There is dirt in unspeakable places but we felt like badasses nonetheless 🏍🏍🏍🏍

I love international beaches because instead of being lined with convenience stores and overpriced bars, they’re way more low key and do things like sell dried fish on the board walk...! (Lol) This specific beach holds the record for someone who surfed the highest wave ever (78 feet!!) The water was cold, crystal blue and the sand was covered in smooth pebbles. We also burned our asses off because we’re too close to the equator 😊😊

Vamos à praia!! Road tripping to Porto, but stopping by the beach first 🌞

Growing up in Miami was probably the catalyst for my love of tiles and terra-cotta, where almost every home is Spanish mission style. It’s always been my dream to have a house decked in hues of burnt orange and colorful azulejos. So needless to say I’m geeking out over here!!!! Every building front in Portugal is an inspiration; they’re tiled with bright patterns, a product of Arabic influence on Spain and Portugal in 13th century. I plan to study these even more when I get home to inspire my creative work (and/or future home Pinterest board 😏).

Help! I’ve fallen in love with Portugal and I can’t get up!

Layover in Barcelona involved this paella 🥘, croquetas de jamon Ibérico and buñuelos de bacalao. It’s nice to be abroad, but still feel like home 🇪🇸

I find myself saying “I’ll be so much happier when...” a lot. In school, you can’t wait to graduate. Then you’re desperate for a good job. Then dying to get your own apartment. Move to a cool city. Get married. Work for yourself one day etc etc etc. It’s an endless loop!! Because you’ll never really “get there”...you’ll waste your entire life waiting on moments that will pass and then evolve into more wishlist moments. So I’m trying to embrace ~the now~ more often. It’s good to plan and be excited for future goals...but don’t get down on yourself because you’re not there yet. It’s coming! Enjoy the ride 🕶

We did groceries and laundry before 10am so we could relax at home for the rest of the day. No pressing deadlines (wow thank u), so I started on a personal project...doodling away on the couch while Zae played 2K. Washed and loving it 🤗🤗
